I’m excited today to share with you some information about what we were able to accomplish – together – last year. While the statistics in the Flagstaff Family Food Center 2025 Impact Report are important, the real story is that behind every number is a neighbor who showed up looking for help – and found it.

Let’s start with two of the biggest numbers first. In 2025, we served 8.2 million pounds of food in the community. That’s more than a 10% increase over the previous year’s number. That includes more than half a million meals prepared in our Kitchen, and almost 100,000 food boxes distributed either at our events or through our 45 nonprofit partners.
If our clients had purchased this food from a store, it would have cost them more than $16.8 million. For families already struggling to make ends meet, this isn’t just about food; it’s about keeping the lights on, affording medication, or putting gas in the car to get to work.
But we know that emergency food assistance alone isn’t enough. That’s why I’m especially proud of our policy and advocacy work through the Northern Arizona Hunger Action Partnership this year.
We organized three coalition meetings, bringing together community voices and expert perspectives. We established workgroups focused on policy, resource navigation, and community empowerment, because sustainable change requires coordinated action.
And when we saw legislation that would harm food access for Northern Arizonans, we didn’t stay silent. We successfully opposed two bills that would have disproportionately hurt the people we serve. We provided critical feedback to decision-makers, and were sought out as subject matter experts by legislators before they voted.
None of this happens in isolation. It happens because donors give. Volunteers show up. Partners collaborate. Community members trust us. And together, we create something greater than any one of us could achieve alone.

Thank you for believing in our mission of Neighbors Feeding Neighbors, Every Day and for making 2025 a year of real, measurable impact.
Sincerely,
Ethan Amos
