The 2026 Northern Arizona Anti-Hunger Summit, “Feeding the Work: Sustaining Progress Amid Rising Hunger, Increased Resistance, and Collective Fatigue,” brought together community leaders, advocates, and partners to strengthen our region’s response to hunger. Through keynotes, breakout sessions, and collaborative dialogue, the summit focused on innovation, persistence, and collective action to build a more resilient and equitable food system.
Our Guest Speakers of 2026
Rev. Eugene Cho
Rev. Eugene Cho is an author, speaker, and pastor of nearly 30 years. He is the former President and CEO of Bread for the World and the founder of One Day’s Wages, a global movement mobilizing people to alleviate extreme poverty. Today, Eugene speaks and consults around the world, encouraging pastors, leaders, missionaries, and justice workers to lead with humility, conviction, compassion, and hope. His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from Princeton Theological Seminary, recognition by the White House as an Outstanding American by Choice, and an honorary doctorate from Wake Forest University.
Dr Jessica Knurick
Dr. Jessica Knurick is a science communicator and nutrition scientist, specializing in chronic disease prevention. She educates on nutrition science, food and nutrition policy, and how these forces shape public health. Known for her clear, evidence-based communication,
Dr. Jessica helps people navigate nutrition information with a critical eye, breaking down complex topics and addressing common misconceptions. As a science communicator, she is passionate about making science accessible, practical, and grounded in real-world impact.

This summer featured optional field trips to Flagstaff Family Food Center, Forestdale Farm, and McCallister Ranch. We aim to create a more resilient and equitable food system for our region through innovation, persistence, and collective action!

Forestdale Farm
Forestdale Farm is a small family farm in Flagstaff, Arizona, growing high-quality produce using organic, ecological, and sustainable practices. Farming at high altitude since 2012, the farm has adapted to the region’s challenging arid conditions while prioritizing water conservation, biodiversity, healthy soil, and responsible land stewardship.

Flagstaff Family Food Center is dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting the Northern Arizona community. Through food assistance, community meals, and food rescue programs, FFFC helps ensure that individuals and families have access to nutritious food.

McAllister Ranch
McAllister Ranch is a historic Flagstaff property that reflects the region’s deep agricultural and ranching roots. The ranch offers a glimpse into Flagstaff’s past while highlighting the importance of land stewardship, local agriculture, and community connection. Its story helps visitors learn how ranching, conservation, and the land have shaped the Flagstaff community.
Celebrating Our Third Annual Collaboration of Northern Arizona
The Northern Arizona Hunger Action Partnership (NAHAP) was born out of the 2024 Summit to turn shared momentum into collective action.
