Flagstaff Family Food Center News

  • 35 Years of Neighbors Feeding Neighbors

Christmas Day 1991 was the first meal that launched Flagstaff Family Food Center, and this year we are celebrating 35 years of serving northern Arizona.

  • Hope Is Powerful — and Right Now, It Goes Twice as Far

Our work begins with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to nutritious food and to be treated with dignity. Every day, we see how fragile stability can be.

  • A Record-Breaking Event & A Special Award

It has been an extraordinary couple of weeks for FFFC, featuring a record-breaking Thanksgiving event and an honor for our volunteer engagement efforts from Governor Katie Hobbs.

  • Thank You, Hunger Heroes! (And there’s still time…)

The generosity of our Hunger Heroes on Giving Tuesday has immediately begun feeding families, children, and neighbors across Northern Arizona.

  • Not Quite DoorDash: Home Delivery Program Begins

Discover our new Home Delivery Service, bringing food directly to Flagstaff residents who face challenges getting to our food distribution sites.

  • ‘Stuff the Bus’ Returns Nov. 8th & 9th

We are proud to partner with Mountain Line, the City of Flagstaff, and Coconino County for our 10th annual Stuff the Bus food drive on November 8 and 9, 2025.

A Heartfelt Thank You & Farewell 💛

Our Volunteer Manager, Yeshua Brooks, will be leaving his role to pursue new opportunities. While we’ll miss him greatly, we’re incredibly grateful for the leadership, care, and passion he brought to our volunteer program over the past couple of years!

Yeshua’s impact has been huge—including helping our organization earn the Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Engagement Award at the 22nd Annual Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards! We’re so thankful for everything he built and for the strong, connected volunteer community he helped grow.

Join us in wishing Yeshua all the best in this next chapter—you’ll be truly missed! 👏✨
✨ Looking for a meaningful way to start 2026? Make volunteering part of your New Year’s resolution and help support your community when it’s needed most!

This time of year is traditionally one of our lowest points for volunteer participation—and with our team in a transition period, your support matters more than ever.

Whether you can lend a hand at a food distribution, help out in the kitchen, or support behind the scenes in the warehouse, every shift makes a direct impact for neighbors facing hunger in our community.

No matter your schedule or skill set, there’s a place for you here. Starting 2026 by giving back is a powerful way to support your community—and it means more than you know to the families we serve.

👉 Sign up to volunteer and help us keep food moving to those who need it most. Visit hotfood.org/volunteer for more information. Thank you for showing up when it counts 💙
