📦 NEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: PRODUCT SORTING 📦

Love organizing, problem-solving, and making a direct impact in your community? Join us for our new Product Sorting volunteer shift! Sign up at hotfood.volunteermatters.org

During Product Sorting, volunteers work indoors to sort and organize donated food and products for local families and individuals in need. Volunteers help check expiration dates, identify damaged items, and organize products by category to ensure nutritious food gets to our community safely and efficiently.

This hands-on opportunity is perfect for anyone who enjoys puzzles, organization, and giving back. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or brand new to our programs, your time helps fight hunger and promote healthy eating across Northern Arizona.

Every can sorted, shelf organized, and box checked helps get food to tables across our community. Join us and be part of the impact!
Calling all volunteers! We are looking for help at our kitchen this weekend for Dinner Service from 3:30-6:30pm on Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st! Bring just yourself or a group of friends and family. Every volunteer makes a huge difference!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the CommunityCares “On the Road Series” focused on Arizona’s Closed Loop Referral System with @uniteushq

This gathering highlighted new ways organizations can get involved in the referral network, strengthen cross-sector partnerships, and ensure community members are connected to the care and resources they need. If your organization is interested in learning more about these programs or how to get connected to the referral network, please contact chris@hotfood.org.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with community organizations, healthcare partners, and local leaders who are all working toward stronger collaboration and better support for individuals and families across Northern Arizona. Together, we explored how coordinated referrals, partnerships, and new community-based programs can help address social determinants of health and improve access to essential resources — including opportunities for providers to connect clients to programs that offer meal support and food access services. Thank you to all who attended!
