Whether you’ve been with us for a short time or are a long-time supporter, I want to take the time to express how grateful I am for this support. It’s daunting to think about how many people in our community—families with kids, the elderly and disabled—are having a hard time putting food on their tables. It’s even more daunting to know that feeding Flagstaff’s hungry is primarily up to us. We have to get this right. Everyday. If we don’t, it will impact real people in a very real and negative way.
We provide between 1,300 and 1,500 meal every single day.
That’s a lot of people counting on us.
What makes me sleep better at night is knowing that you are right there with us. Do you know how wonderful that feels? We’re on the same team and we’re working for the same thing—serving hope to Flagstaff families by providing hunger relief and children’s literacy programs.
I’d like to ask a favor of you. Will you send a link to our new website and this blog to five friends?
Having a blog is new for us and we have so much we want to share with our Flagstaff supporters. Subscribing to our blog is going to be one of the best ways to stay in touch with the work of the Food Center and to get involved with our meaningful—and joyful—work.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
